On Nov. 1, 2018 a mass rally took place on the streets of Bnei Brak, a religious Jewish suburb of Tel Aviv, to protest the arrest of a religious youth who refused to enlist in the Israeli army.
Israeli police responded to the rally in their usual manner, with excessive brutality and violence. Mounted police trampled protesters with their horses, as officers on foot kicked and punched them. A number of protesters were injured and hospitalized; 13 were arrested.
