On Feb 8 a protest took place at Kikar Shabbos Square in Jerusalem demanding the release of a religious Jewish girl who was recently arrested a second time for her refusal to serve in the Israeli army. This protest was one of several held, starting over a week ago, in defense of this girl. The sign reads, "Free the Jewish Girl Lauren, daughter of Silvia Rachel, who is sitting in jail for her refusal to join the army." She is currently serving her second 20-day sentence.
