On August 28, the anti-Zionist community held a protest in front of the Russian Compound prison in Jerusalem over the arrest of a participant in a recent anti-draft rally. During the protest Yosef Lazer Kaufman was brutally beaten and arrested by the police. During the beatings, Kaufman's nose was broken, he was hospitalized with shackled hands and then arrested.
